Our Team

We're proud of our hard working team, who all have a passion to improve our community!

Natasha Cross

General Manager

Given the number of different businesses in town from farming, tourism, hospitality, building and construction and many more, it is vital to train the community so that they still live and work and be with family. This is important for the members of our community.

Having a passion for employment and training gave me 14 year's experience as a Senior Field Officer with KGT Employment. During my time as a Senior Field Officer, it was a great experience to watch apprentices and trainees gain skills that they could go on to use in the future. Many of the apprentices I had the pleasure of working with have either gone on to bigger and better things or have now got their own businesses in the trades they studied in especially in their own communities.

Chantel Donnison

Apprentice and Trainee Specialist

I am dedicated to fostering a positive environment for apprentices and trainees, ensuring they receive the guidance needed to thrive.

I have a passion for helping people achieve their personal goals and supporting career development through my role as Apprentice and Trainee Specialist at KGT Employment.

I previously worked as a Manager for a Rio Tinto owned Childcare Centre in Weipa, a small town near the tip of Queensland. This role helped me to develop strong leadership and organizational skills and foster a love of helping others to succeed and further their skills and employment opportunities in their local community.

When not working, I enjoy fishing, camping and exploring the great outdoors.

Caroline Banton

Business Development Officer

Connecting people with training and employment opportunities strengthens our community, creating pathways for success and a future in the Kimberley.

Raised in Kununurra, I have gained the right to be called a local. Apart from a couple of years away, I’ve spent my life in the region, working across local government departments, employment, training, education, and justice. My role in Business Development at KGT Employment allows me to identify and support training and employment opportunities, helping to create meaningful career pathways for future trainees and apprentices in the Kimberley.

Bronwyn Read

Finance Officer

Assisting young people find a place to start their pathway in life is rewarding and hopeful.

I work as KGT Employment's Finance Officer. I have been working with KGT since 2006, when I started doing finance work for them in my role with Wunan Foundation. All my life I have been a staunch supporter of Australian small businesses and farmers. I am in awe of the richness and resilience of Indigenous Culture. I like working at KGT because my job blends those two things together.

A Trade gives you good strong foundations for life. I like that KGT focusses on supporting young people to achieve their goals and finding their place do to this as well as supporting small businesses at the same time.

Kristen Dodd

Business Support Officer

I enjoy working with an organisation and team of people who are passionate about helping others improve their own lives and that of their families.

From systems and policy reviews to claiming available funding and day-to-day administration duties, my role as Business Support Officer with KGT Employment supports the wonderful team at KGT Employment behind the scenes.

I fell in love with Kununurra 17 years ago and have lived here ever since. I enjoy spending time outdoors in the bush, by a waterhole or the river.
